Good morning,
since a couple of weeks ago, I'm experiencing a very annoying issue on all managed (no Android work profile, complete management) Android phones.
They reboot with no apparent reason at least once a week, causing colleagues not be reachable until they input PIN to start the device.
Sophos MDM manages Samsung A52s, A53s, xCover and Galaxy S21+, all of them are affected by this problem.
Any known solution?
Hello Frank,Thank you for reaching the community forum. Was there any alert message observed on your dashboard whenever devices rebooted? What's the current OS version of those devices? Can you collect logs on one of the affected devices by following the steps on this KBA.
Hi Glenn, I have no messages on my dashboard, at all, about rebooting activities. Devices run Android 13. I attach my smartphone logs in a zip file, the one sent me by console: https://we.tl/t-yDuyurjWxN
Hello Frank,By any chance, was there an auto reboot/restart configured on those devices? To check if it's configured, You may check one of the affected devices and validate the setting by following Samsung documentation and let us know your findings.
Hello Frank, hello Glenn
same issue here .. Samsung S10, S21, Google Pixel 7 Pro, Fairphone 4 -> Android 12 and 13. Random reboots, no dashboard messages und no auto reboot/restart configured.
I too am having the same issue. We have a range of Android phones some of which restart multiple times a day even during calls. The only change I've made to policy was to uninstall/block Tik Tok. I'm currently waiting for two devices to email me the log files so I can go through them. Will upload here once I have them.
Do you know if this issue is specific to devices enrolled/managed by Sophos, or does this issue also occur on stand-alone devices?
Are these devices enrolled under "Full Device" management as well?
