Hello there,
I have a customer who may want to buy a Sophos Firewall with the main reason of using it as a Web Proxy Server.
Unfortunately I could not find information regarding WebSocket traffic inspection. My guts tell me that the SFOS will inspect this kind of traffic too, but I would need a confirmation.
Is there any official documentation that says this explicitly?

Thank you for reaching out to the community, websocket traffic inspection in proxy mode will be a feature request as of now - OWP-I-743.
Where as DPI mode lets Websocket traffic pass without problems.

Yes, DPI engine detects and filters HTTP and SSL/TLS traffic on any port. Web proxy transparently handles traffic only on TCP ports 80 and 443.
