SMTPD service DEAD

Started showing SMTPD service dead and i tried to go and restart service and found out that it can only be restarted in command console.

After restarting the service in the command console the service will still show SMTPD service dead.

All mail is moving smoothly though.

What could be the problem here and how can i get the service to work again.?

Yes through command line you On the CLI, select option 5. Device Management, then option 3. Advanced Shell. Please enter the following command: service smtpd:restart -ds nosync.

while executing the command what message did you receive "200 ok?" or some error instead, as the smtpd remains dead !

Hi,

Upon the case update, the issue was resolved upon renewing the certificate.

"To resolve this issue, a valid certificate needs to be configured. Then, go to Protect > Email > General Settings > SMTP TLS configuration and click Apply. This will reload the configuration, and a manual service restart is required to start the service.
We have done this and the issue is resolved"
