CAA for MAC

Dears,

I followed exactly the same steps mentioned in the link.

https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/123014#Step%201:%20Download%20the%20General%20Authentication%20Client

But I am unable to connect and below is the log i could get from the terminal.

2020-03-02 22:52:48.557 Client Authentication Agent[1334:50250] trying to connect...

2020-03-02 22:52:48.557 Client Authentication Agent[1334:50250] Client disconnected

2020-03-02 22:53:08.561 Client Authentication Agent[1334:50250] socket disconnected with error: Error Domain=AsyncSocketErrorDomain Code=2 "Attempt to connect to host timed out" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Attempt to connect to host timed out}

Please let me know if we need to perform any additional steps.

Vijey,

Which version of OSX are you running?

Take note that with the latest Mac OS release,

CAA does not work. You need to open a ticket with the support and they will provide the fix.

Mine is macOS Catalina 10.15.3.

I also went through the link "Compatibility CAA - MAC Catalina -Bug(https://community.sophos.com/products/xg-firewall/sfos-eap/sfos-v18-early-access-program/f/feedback-and-issues/115757/compatibility-caa---mac-catalina---bug#pi2151=1)". And followed the steps mentioned, like manually moving the .der file to the shared folder and downloading the new APP, but still, its doesn't work for me.

Please help.

Keyur, it is a known bug. Fixed in v18 MR1 or getting the package from support by opening a ticket.

In my opinion the fix should be published here and made available to everyone.

Hello,

When you conduct the drag and drop operation, drag and hold the certificate over the Shared folder icon until a shared folder location is opened up then drop into that location.
