[Sophos Notification] Advisory: Sophos XG Firewall - Issues registering with Sophos Central

Hi Community,

Sophos is investigating reports of XG Firewall users who are experiencing errors trying to register to Sophos Central.

  • The following message is shown: "Temporary error while accessing Sophos Central".

    Hi Rogerio Minatel,

    The error suggests that it might be the issue with the Sophos Central credentials.

    I tried to replicate the issue in my LAB and I was able to register the firewall to the central without any issue. 

    Please try to login to the central account with the same account detail to make sure you are able to login the central.

    Please use central admin account credentials to register firewall with the central.

    the credentials were correct, I had already verified that. So much so that I logged into Sophos Central and other Sophos services with the same credentials.

    However, it worked!
    Something happened in this interval, because, I tried a little while ago, and a new notification appeared in yellow (which I did not pay attention to getting the content), but on the Chome console appeared "Central Synchronization Registration failed Device is already registered with Sophos Central". After that, I went to check it out at Central and the firewall was there!
