Sophos recognizes the importance and value of user contributions on the Community. This section is designed to recognize and thank these individuals for their invaluable contributions that are key to the success of the Sophos Community.

How do Leaderboards work?

You can gain points by contributing to the Sophos Community in various ways:

• Create a forum thread - 1 point
• Create a comment on a blog - 1 point
• Reply to a forum thread - 5 points
• Have your reply be verified as an answer - 15 points
• Provide an accepted suggestion to our user assistance content - 30 points
• Fill out your Community profile (profile photo, cover photo, biography, occupation, and location) - 50 points

Note:

• Users that game this system will be warned once, and if they do it again, they will be banned.
• Points system is subject to change at anytime without warning.

Leaderboards and points accumulation are not updated in real-time, so if you believe you have a higher total than what is currently showing, be patient, it will update by the next day. You can also see a breakdown of your points by going to your profile and then clicking on your points total.

We believe this feature will incentivize more users to participate, which will drive more highlighted answers, which will in turn make our community a better support resource for our products.

Leaderboard Rewards

• There is a minimum threshold of at least 45 points to be considered as the top contributor for the group level quarterly payout.

Rewards will be broken down as follows:

• At the sitewide level, there will be an annual payout of $100 to each of our top 3 contributors. This will come in the form of a gift card to The Sophos Store.
• At the group level, there will be a quarterly payout of $10 to the top contributor of each product group. This will also come in the form of a gift card to The Sophos Store.

Member Achievement Awards

Community awards are also provided in addition to the leaderboard rewards outlined above. These awards are provided as virtual trophies for the rest of the Community to see when clicking on your user profile.
