Mini PCIE slot use on XG 125 rev.3

Hello everybody,

I would need more details regarding the mini pcie port present next to the M.2 port in the Sophos XG 125 (rev.3).

The port is identical to the MSATA format but it is in the PCIE format therefore not compatible with the BUS level (except for the format).
From what I have read, it could be used for mini cards. But no documentation on the Sophos site allowed me to see the real products and technologies supported by this port.

As long as I do, I would also like to know what the "foxconn" port can be used for on the motherboard, behind a trap that can be unscrewed with two screws.

On the XG 135 this would serve as a Wi-FI module but on the XG125 apparently it is not compatible.

I would be grateful to have a clear answer :)

Cordially.

  • Ok, fine with the hardware changes.

On the other hand concerning the "extension bay" it is part of an option of addition as for the slot 3g / 4g.
     Here is :
The rear of the XG125 I am talking about the hatch screwed on the right. Is it only for an additional Ethernet interface module?
