Sophos captive portal not working internally

Hi,

unfortanually it's still not working.

I have created the dns entry on top

In authentication I see nothing.

After log off I see nothing in the logs

on the pc I see the captive portal.

Are you using local users created in the Sophos XG firewall or you have an integrated AD server with the firewall?

We don't use local users.

We have the integrated AD server with the XG310 firewall.

We never used the captive portal yet.

We have setup stas local.

But when this failes we get this portal. So it would be nice that we can use is.

The haertbeat feature doesn't work because we have different UPN and SAM accounts.

STAS authentication has higher priority over captive portal authentication so if the user is not able to authenticate then it may redirect to the captive portal.

For captive portal, please check Device Access >> Captive Portal is enabled for required zone

Hi, the Stas issues occur when we have portable computers who Come from hibernation or stand-by. So they don't log on, so Stas doesn't work. Thats why we need the captive portal running. thnks

Please verify the user inactivity timeout for STAS in the AD server and also on the XG firewall.
