Real Bandwidth usage - Control Center which one is correct?

I only rely on the graphs shown in Diagnostics -> System Graphs, they are pretty accurate.

Also, I feel that the bandwidth graphs in the CC are in BYTES when we are used to mesure bandwidth in BITS. So, when you should see 100 Mb, you will see only 12 MB (with uppercase B).

Example :

81Mbps at 17:01

10.03 MBps at 17:01, which is consistent

Regarding the "Active Firewall Rules" graph, I really don't understand it.

I would love to have more accurate representation of current/past bandwidth.  All the reports collapse and average which is not useful.

Other firewalls provide much more detailed information.

Another twist in these strange screen displays. Recently I had IPv6 enabled with 3 rules, two carried traffic. I started to see blue and green values in the graph, quite large values, considering the bandwidth I have access to.

Billybob commented about the graph showing the total traffic used by rules, well yesterday I was running large transfers of data through the wifi to the lan and nothing showed.

Unbeliavable! Control Center and Live Connections are just useless.

I was told 2021 they will make changes to the reporting, and graphs.  But they said that back in a 2016 post and nothing has been done.  

Even my cheap home ASUS router shows very accurate realtime bandwidth per connected user (IP). Can't seem to find similar reporting in XG. Hard to find the bandwidth hogs.

We have checked with the latest firmware and able to observe improvements since then. The valid Shown will be in KiloBytes instead of KiloBits. You are transfering through the firewall it will show the traffic utilization and also you can verify them in the system graphs.

Hi Good day!

Ever since I upgrade my Sophos XG 125 to v17.5.1 MR-1 and 17.5.3 MR-3, the web activity graph always stops after 5 to 7 days. I also notice that loading of information in dashboard becomes slow unlike previous firmware.

Hello Val,

Your issue could be relavent for failed update from iview logs on your system. We expect the fix in 17.5 MR-4 for that issue and should be out by end of this month. 

Could you provide us access to your machine by enabling Support Access and PM me the ID, so I may have a quick look and diagnose the issue?

Thank you for troubleshooting this issue with us. Could you let us know if the issue is resolved after a restart? If not could you please upgrade to the firmware 17.5 MR -4 which is available on MySophos portal.

Can now see it is displaying data.

Sorry for the late reply. Fortunately, this concern is already resolved. Problem is not reoccuring.

I have another question, Where can I see my pending submitted ticket in order for me to know the status? I have submitted new concern and I'm not sure if it was submitted properly, no confirmation receipt upon submitting the ticket.
