Sophos Email: "550 5.7.1 XGEMAIL_xxxx Command Rejected" translated [Inbound emails]

Hi Everyone!

Do you ever get an email bounce back with Command Rejected error from Sophos Email protected domains?

Here's an example. I sent this from a gmail.com account and got this message back:

This number "0010" indicates what went wrong. Below are the translation of each:

XGEMAIL_0001
This status code is returned when a message did not contain any passing DKIM signatures.

XGEMAIL_0002
This status code is returned when a message completed an SPF check that produced a fail result.

XGEMAIL_0003
This status code is returned when a message completed a DMARC check that produced a fail result.

XGEMAIL_0004
Returned when the sender IP address fails a RBL test.

XGEMAIL_0005
Returned when the sender domain fails a DBL test.

XGEMAIL_0006
Returned when the message is rejected because the TLS version used did not match the version configured in customer policy.

XGEMAIL_0007
Returned when the message is rejected because the customers license has expired.

XGEMAIL_0008
Returned when the message is rejected because the sender ip, domain or email address is in customer block list.

XGEMAIL_0009
Returned when the message is rejected because the sender ip, domain or email address is in user block list.

XGEMAIL_0010
Returned when the message is rejected because the recipient domain is not a configured customer domain.

XGEMAIL_0011
Returned when the message is rejected because the recipient email address is not a configured address.

Note that there are times that these numbers are not indicated but when you do see it, this list should help you with troubleshooting.
