Hello,

Two of the biggest issues users have reported recently are the Time Machine backup issue and the full scan stopped abnormally and was not completed issue. I'll detail both and what we are doing to address them.

Time Machine Backup Issue (Sophos Home + Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac Home Edition)

This issue causes Time Machine backups to take a significantly long time, or hang, when using SAV for OS X. We released 9.5.3 which was designed to address the issue, but it did not work as planned. We are currently working on a fix that will be released in 9.5.4 that will resolve the issue. We apologize for the wait.

Full Scan Stopped Abnormally Issue (Sophos Home)

This issue will be addressed in the Home 1.2.1 release which should complete it's rollout by November 4th. The 1.2.1 release also comes with various bug fixes. 

If the 1.2.1 update does not fix the full scan stopped issue, please let me know in the comments.

  • There are various issues in the module of the sophos as I have tried to fix the issues many times but that did not happen. It has also affected my outlook account as well and the thing is that it is giving me error while accessing that. I need to contact emailsupports.net/.../ for the solution.

  • For that I have some suggestion for you, you just go and visit one thing if you interested with it then you will get an strong antivirus then you will be very helpful. Faced any kind of issue when you install any antivrus then you just visit with it:  lenovosupport.net/.../

  • I'm running Sohpos Home v. 9.6.4. How can I be a whole release number ahead of what you've posted above?

    FWIW I got to this URL in a search for how to handle scans interrupted by the machine's going to sleep. In my case, some 9 million of 37 were scanned before the machine went to sleep.

    In other applications besides Sophos I've prevented 'sleep' by running "Jiggler", turning on a process, and going to bed. Not the best solution, since the scan may stop long enough before morning that the fixed screen is on for too long.

  • I would LOVE to remove the complete product from my OS X 10.12.2 but the removal program fails.  As well as NONE of the locations indicated in for forums exist or WORK.  Please advise how to get this thing off my system short of a complete WIPE of the system.  Using Sophos Home 1.2.2, worst program I've even tried to UNINSTALL.
