I have Error Code 0000006a and error code e03d0056 sophos Endpoint Protection how to resolve please help me ?

Would you please help us with more details on which OS you are seeing this error and how many machines? Also please check under event viewer if you can see any specific logs.

Hello Dwi,

both machines both errors?
0xe03d0056 is an error reported by the scanner, I've rarely seen it and it's normally a one-off event. Does it recur?
0x0000006a is an updating (or rather not-updating) related error

0xe03d0056 can be acknowledged, right-click on the computer Resolve Alerts and Errors ...

There should be a description that accompanies 0x0000006a. If it's just Installation caught error you'd have to check the logs on the endpoint, ALUpdate in %ProgramData%\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Logs\ and the installer logs in \Windows\Temp\.

Hi sir,

meeage error

For code 0000006a => Installation caught error SAU control.xml is either corrupt or missing

Code e03d0037 => the access driver failed to perform a user action on file\device\hardiskvolume5\K1AA(STD).exe

what steps should I take ?

Hi Dwi

You need to check the ALUpdate in %ProgramData%\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Logs\ and the installer logs in \Windows\Temp\ as mentioned by QC in the above reply.

Hello Dwi,

0xe03d0037 - initially it was 0xe03d0056. If these are intermittent and very infrequent simply acknowledge them. Depends on what the file is if one is mentioned and whether the error is in conjunction with a detection.

saucontrol.xml is in AutoUpdate's cache, clearing C:\ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Cache\ forces a redownload that should resolve the problem.
