Unable to activate EndPoint Protection

Hello, 

I am unable to activate EndPoint protection on my Sophos UTM 9. It just times out. I checked the logs and have found the following:

    "Can't talk to Sophos LiveConnect" - what related information do you see in the Web Filtering and DNS logs at 2015:01:25-00:42:49?

  • Same issue here after updating to 9.306 this morning. Logs show the same as well as the dashboard. None of my endpoints have phoned home since the upgrade.

    Verified I can telnet just fine to the live connect broker address from the UTM so it's not being blocked. turned off Endpoint via Webadmin, no luck. Restart epsecd from shell, no luck. Rebooted, no luck.

  • This issue resolved itself after applying several of the recent updates. After applying update 9.307-6 the issue disappeared and everything is working as expected.
  • I'm having this same issue on version 9.405-5..

  • Posted more details and "resolution" on Topic 56124. Sorry for bumping two different threads for this.

  • Could be caused due to temporary problem in the local Liveconnect servers.
