Is here anyone in the forum, who has bought hardware in 2008 and than has installed Astaro succesfully on it? I would interesting in details of this hardware.

I like the HP AMD stuff better, like the DL365, fwiw. In fact, we may be upgrading our DL145 with a DL365 for better fault tolerance (RAID, dual PS), and keep the dl145 as a cold standby.
It's hard to find anything recent, but in the past, Athlon/Opteron did much better on Linux Netfilter benchmarks than the P4/Xeons. There's no benchmarks for the current http proxy/content filter though, afaik.

OK, the AMD stuff is a good idea, but the DL 365 is not in the HCL and Astaro says, without listing in the HCL no support.
