AP15 shows inactive after firmware update

FIXED:: see notes at bottom

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am running a Sophos AP15 with UTM 9.  After a UTM update today the wireless did not come back online.  The light on the AP is solid orange (no blinking). The AP shows 'inactive' in the UTM console.  I have validated the cabling to the switch with another device.
The Wireless Protection Log contains this info
The entries with timestamp 18:43:47 correlate with me clicking around in the console trying to reset the device.
It seems like the firmware update failed but I can't find a method to roll it back to the old firmware or reset it.
FIXED:
I had initially skipped past the flashtool after seeing other posts saying it wasn't compatible with the AP15.  However it appears ap15 support has been added since then, and using the flashtool with these directions restored my AP to functional state support.sophos.com/.../KB-000039314
