XG 210 rev 2 Web Port Admin Password reset?

Hello!

I've obtained a retired XG 210 rev2 for my homelab and have performed both factory reset and admin password reset via console.

The admin password is successfully reset on the console side as I can login using admin/admin however the web portal (https://192.168.1.178 - WAN port address assigned via DHCP) is not accepting the same user / pass combination.

Can I change the web port admin password via the console?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Erick,

Here is the output from the web admin portal authentication attempt found in access_server.log:

    ERROR Sep 23 13:23:26 [4144162624]: check_auth_result: VPN/SSLVPN/MYACC Authentication Failed
    ERROR Sep 23 15:09:26 [4144162624]: check_auth_result: VPN/SSLVPN/MYACC Authentication Failed

MESSAGE Sep 23 19:01:19 [4144162624]: (update_admin_access_table): Admin user authentication fail from IP 192.168.1.66

Additionally, when I attempt to run "system appliance_access enable" I receive error: /bin/sh: system: not found

It's as if the admin password reset / change that is being performed via console is not affecting the web admin portal admin user account.

    Kind regards,

    James Stockton
