Sophos firewall migration HA

The version of the XG450 is SFOS 19.0.2 MR-2-Build472

Should be possible if the new devices run on V20MR2. It has a new restore wizard to restore backups to different hardware.

See Check compatible devices to restore backups (Applies only to 20.0 MR2 and later versions) (sophos.com). You should however first update the current to SFOS 19.5 MR4. Earlier versions are not supported for this.

Do you mean if the new xgs 4500 do not come with V20MR2 I could not restore the backup of the xg450? Another question, do I have to deactivate HA first? or what would be the activities to perform.

You may restore backup with the HA or without building HA as well. I suggest, restore backup on standalone device and later build HA.
