configuration migration to new hardware

hi,

i have 2 XG430 in HA firmware version 20.x, now i want to move to new hardware XGS4300 in HA. please advise how can i migrate configuration from old to new hardware???

what steps should i follow???

i have further few queries.:

Qustion1: i am also using STAS. My question is if I replaced old appliances with new XGS 4300 then in this case STAS authentication might effect??? Please confirm??? Should I need to re-install STAS on active directory???

Question2: currently i am using 1 gig port in LAN interface. at the time of backup restoration can i convert LAN from 1 gig to 10 gig using backup assistant??? is workable??? please confirm.

Question3: what is the difference between configuration import vs backup restore???

Question4: can i also import logs or reports from old HA cluster to new Cluster???

Hello Ahmed,

You don't need to reinstall the STAS. You just need to made sure that the firewall IP configured properly on STAS.

The link shared by Lucar suggest that there is option to map the interface to different interface on restoring device.

Configuration import is used when we wanted to restore selective configuration. Backup and restore will have complete configuration.

Reports can not be imported.
