Firmware menu related device security

1. Is there any option to disable Firmware Menu ---> Factory Reset option ? 

2. Is there any option to disable COM port ?

We're managing through cloud central. We Also want to disable these two option as its deployed in branch office.

    If not available Atleast in future manufacturing make panel protection using physical key lock (Similar to Storage & Servers). Recently one incident happened in our branch office L2 engineer fiddled around menu option and did factory reset.

    Thank you for reaching out to Sophos Community.

    I see where you're coming from, and we regret to hear about your experience. To confirm, this would be the option in the hardware itself.

    Unfortunately, this would be a Feature Request. I recommend contacting your Partner or Sophos Support to have this as a Feature request link to your account. 

    Also, this issue seems to be a Human Error. In my own opinion, an SOP would be best practice.

    • Restrict all access to non-authorized personnel(Local ACL) 
    • Create a Custom Role for Administrator to limit their access
    • Place the device in a secure location
    • Having I.T. change management Procedure 

    Or have IT personnel have read-only access, and every change needs proper approval(change management procedure)  to avoid unnecessary changes.
