Starting about a month ago (Nov 20), we have had some users report that their Sophos Connect profiles have disappeared and they are required to Import them again.
Import usually comes up with an error that the profile already exists. Even though there are none listed. Restarting the computer one more time usually ends up bringing the profile back.
I have a Sophos case but they say they haven't seen this before, just the problem where users perform a Switch User and the profile disappears. The affected users are not switching user accounts. They are shutting down completely at the end of the day, and when they boot up the next morning, the profile is gone. I've searched the community and have seen similar posts but no real answers.
I have updated the Sophos Connect client, and downloaded a new profile from the user portal. They still experience the problem. We are using Sophos Endpoint Protection and there aren't any detections related to Sophos Connect although I would be sort of disappointed if there were, seeing as they are both Sophos products.
We regularly patch machines with Windows updates and third party patches, so it is hard to determine what patch if any might be causing this problem.
Our Sophos Firewall version is SFOS 19.5.2 MR-2-Build624.
