Can we verify what process did you encounter the following error?

Have you tried the following KB Sophos Firewall: License Sync Failed

Also, kindly see this older post, which might assist

Certificate signing failed: Device not found

Problem with license synchronization - Synchronization with server failed (Device not found)

Also my license directory is empty:
