Restrict VPN connection to authorized devices

Hi all,

is it possible to restrict VPN access for unauthorized devices ?

We have employees who are working from home and instead of using company laptop (which has security measures implemented) they are using their home computer to establish VPN connection and potentially put our network at risk. Is there a way to restrict VPN from home computers i this scenario?

Hello MayurMakavana, Thank you for you answer.

I have hoped that there is a way to do kind of "whitelisting" of host-names during establishing VPN connection or something similar.

Hi Nikola,

the only way I’ve been able to do something close is to use the security heartbeat feature on the Sophos Endpoint and in the firewall rules,

this way they still connect the vpn but without heartbeat the “rogue” devices don’t have access to anything on the network

Hello Nikola,

I would recommend you talk to your Sales Engineer about ZTNA, as this most likely will achieve the restriction you’re looking to implement.
