SFOS 18.5.2 MR-2 to 19.5 upgrade path

We are running XG550 hardware in an HA with firmware 18.5.2 MR-2-Build380

The Firewall itself is showing these options as availble to download

SFOS 19.0.2 MR2-Build472
SFOS 19.5.0 GA-Build197

I've looked at the upgrade information in the release notes for 19.5 and if I understand it correctly it's not a recommended upgrade.

My question - can we upgrade directly to 19.5 GA Build 197 or do we need to upgrade via an intermediate version first ?

If so can you advise the upgrade path to follow ?

Hi,

Thank you for your quick response.

Looking at the upgrade information for V19.0, 18.5.2 MR-2 is not in the table of versions we can upgrade from either..

If I understand the upgrade options, following them through we'd need to go to 18.5. MR5 first, then to 19.0, and finally 19.5

Even more confused now.

The first reply indicated going to 19.0 MR2 - but in the table above that is not a upgrade path to 19.5 GA

18.5 MR5 isn't a direct upgrade either.

What does 18.5 GA to MR4 mean ?

Hi pgri The "Upgrade From" column indicting source firmware I.e. current firmware in which your XG device is running.

18.5 GA to MR4 mean ==> 18.5 GA, 18.5.1 MR-1, 18.5.2 MR-2, 18.5.3 MR-3, 18.5.4 MR4

Okay, thank you.

I can confirm that we successfuly upgraded from 18.5.2 MR2 to 19.5.0 GA-Build197 two days ago. The upgrade of the HA pair completed without any issues.
