Over the last month I have occasionally been getting a flood of IPS warnings Alert ID 7002
"Message:
OS-LINUX Linux Kernel Netfilter iptables-restore Stack-based Buffer Overflow"
No mention of the source, and nothing in the IPS tab of the log viewer! (see other questions today)
By luck I have managed to correlate this with a user running Epic Gamestore, and downloading some "Plague Tale" game which they complain blocks at 19% download! This may be related to this https://community.sophos.com/sophos-xg-firewall/f/discussions/133868/when-i-try-to-download-unreal-engine-5-through-epic-games-it-gets-frozen-at-21 but has an entirely different manifestation.
A temporary passthrough rule fixes the problem!
Do you have any suggestions for a minimal fix here?
