Sophos Connect is not working in Windows 11

Greetings Community, 

Recently i switched to Window 11, We have been using Sophos Connect to get VPN access to our company Network, it worked excellent for Windows 10 machines, i am the only person who switched and trying Win11 and i am facing the Sophos connect service issue, 

Whenever i see this kind of issue, i will normally goes to Windows services and manually start the "Sophos Connect Service" and this will fix the problem, 

But in Windows 11, the Sophos connect was worked initially for few days and started making trouble, whenever i tried to manually start the service, it will start and goes to stop state automatically. 

Also i see "strongSwan IPsec Service" status is "starting" whenever i see this kind of problem, i am not able to start or restart this service. 

Only fix i found is, i have to reinstall Sophos connect and then it'll work for a week. Not sure what went wrong. 

All your suggestions and fix are welcome, thanks in advance.

  • Windows 11 is not yet listed in the supported OS platform of Sophos connect client 2.x

    I can't believe that! One of the Sophos Forums Staff wrote in an other tread here, that there is a "sprint" in development for the new SC client. Seems to become a marathon.

  • Hi LHerzog: This was discussed with the Product/Dev team Internally and as per the update from them, There is no behavioral change with Windows 10 and Windows 11. Both were supported by SCC 2.1 and will be supported by SCC 2.2 - but if it is not working with any customer then that can be investigated further with support case with required logs.

    When does the status go to "Service Unavailable"? At what point does the service goes to this state? Does it happen after the VPN connection is enabled and you enter the username and password? Are using password with some special characters? If special characters are being used please try changing your password. Please send me a direct email and attach the TSR from the failing Windows machine. If it is not possible to generate a TSR due to this error, then from the install folder "c:\program file (x86)\sophos\connect" collect all the *.log and *.log.old and any .dmp files and zip them and send them to me in an email.

    nothing personal, but that's just an excuse from you again.

    I think Sophos as a software house had preferential access to development versions of Windows 11, so in my opinion for Sophos it could not be a major issue to consider when developed Sophos Connect.

    I know the situation of the local antivirus vendor and I know what I'm writing about ....
