Do you know about a button to clear the annoying alerts on the dashboard, I hate to look at the red exclamations marks, every time i login :-)

Thats something, which Sophos is going to tackle soon, as far as i know. From a historical perspective, i know, this can get messy, if you run a old installation base, as you were experiencing a lot of messages.
Some tricks: If you do a factory reset and backup/restore, the Alerts should be gone, if you are "really" annoyed by it.
