How to Configure two Sophos firewall with two ISP under Single LAN

Dear Professionals

We are in process to configure a new Sophos Firewall with new ISP. Our existing network already using one Sophos device with one ISP and single LAN. So technically, We will have two Sophos devices with two ISP for each under single LAN.

Why we are going to New Sophos firewall: Actually we are creating a standalone Lab with its own firewall and ISP , at the same time we also want  to use existing network and ISP.

So pls guys suggest a best possible solution.

Thanks

Harendra Kumar

  • Hi,

You can split WAN connections between two firewall. I hope BSNL has provided you a router so you can use a switch to split the public IPs and assign one on each WAN interface. You may need a different network for standalone lab for routing through a different firewall. If you have L3 switch, you can make existing and new network talk to each other and also split respective packets through multiple firewalls.

  • Thank you so much, we will discuss this with our team and update you very soon, what comes out.

    Thanks again

  • Hi Harendra ,

You may need to configure an alternate adapter configuration to work with two ISP gateway.  Does the location where you add the XG firewall use DHCP? If so then you may need to configure a L3 Switch to Load balance or Gateway failover between to two .
