Unable to enroll certain macbooks due to profile issues.

I am trying to enroll several devices into Sophos Mobile, however, certain macbooks are having issues due to Sophos not being able to access the profiles pane. The error reads - "You can't open the 'Profiles' preferences pane because it is not available to you at this time. Your system administrator has not given you access to this preference pane". This is odd because the macs that are getting this error have never had issues installing things related to profiles before. I also tried using an administrator account to install it from there, but kept getting the same error. Is this issue common with Macs and are there any alternative ways to getting a macbook enrolled?

  • Hi Shweta,

I just checked our policies for MacOS and we don't have any created for MacOS (or Windows for that matter). Our Windows devices have had no issues with enrollment, and certain Macbooks have been able to enroll without any issues as well. Its just that a portion of our Mac users are getting this issue, even though they are on the same version of MacOS as everyone else and have been using the same enrollment procedure.
