[Sophos Notification] Advisory: Central Email - Outbound Emails in US-East are being marked as spam

Overview

Sophos has received reports from Central Email customers in the US-East region who are experiencing their outbound emails being marked as spam.

Impact

Emails will be deleted and will need to be re-sent again.

Current status

Development is currently investigating the issue.

Workaround

  1. As the issue is being investigated customers experiencing this issue can temporarily bypass outbound emails and send email directly to the recipient.
  2. Instructions vary depending on clients mail provider:
  3.  Please advise customers of the following to ensure company policies are met:
    • Central Email will not be able to perform Data Loss Protection Policies for outbound email sent to the bypassed domains
    • Emails cannot be encrypted when sending to the bypassed domains
    • Smart Banners cannot be stripped/removed if email is bypassed
