Sophos Central - Email Gateway - Outbound - Stopped working with Office 365

Yesterday 8/7/18 around 5pm EST all of our Outbound email started kicking back. Everyone was receiving NDR's from Office 365. Did something happen system wide with the Email Gateway Product or a change to Office365 that would suddenly cause this behavior.  We had to turn off outbound scanning.

  • We are experiencing the same issue. It appears not ALL outbound emails are hitting the Sophos Central relay (after reviewing the O365 trace logs and the Sophos Central logs). The ones that are failing are somehow bypassing the Sophos Central outbound (even though we are sending ALL outbound mail through the relay).
