Sophos enterprise console is not pushing and installing into client machines

Hi All,

i have installed the Sophos enterprise control 5.5.0 in windows 2012 server. i dont have AD connections to all the client servers. So i wanted to add them manually.

installed the sophos through the shared folder from sophos server. when i come back and check the console, its showing.

Then i tried to discover the IPs, somehow i added one server into console, but when i try to push the anti-virus, it's getting failed.

based on the Knowledge article https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/29287 followed this link. but no still i am seeing the same issue.

Error code is : 80070035

Please help me resolve this issue.

Thanks

Rameshkumar

  • Hello rramesh r,

can you access the server's ports 8192 and 8194 from the Linux machine? Please check the sav-rms.log and rmsboot.log in /opt/sophos-av/log/ (and perhaps sophosmgmtd.log in /opt/sophos-av/log/sophosav/).

Please find the logs, in linux server.

  • Hello rramesh r,

the Sav-rms.log does not mention that it could get an IOR? Is the server able to resolve the (unqualified) DEVSOPHOS1 name? Seems there is just this unqualified name and no IP (the latter isn't required if at least one of the names can be resolved).

    Christian

  • Thanks Christian for pointing the DNS issue. i forgot add the internal dns entries, now  i am able see those linux servers in Console.
