Deploying Sophos from terminal

Hi there,

I've tried to deploy via terminal (remotely using a agent on client machines that capable of sudo) but keep getting error returning message is "command not found"

The page i am following is: https://community.sophos.com/kb/cs-cz/14179

1. Did some digging on my own and saw that "./Sophos Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/tools/InstallationDeployer" does not exist inside the package

2. Found and tried the actual executable but still failed.   " ./Sophos\ Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Sophos\ Installer --install  "

anyone else having the same or similar issues?

thanks in advance

  • Hello Aditya,

Yup gone thru that also, it's almost identical to the one i have posted.

I have managed to install only after running chmod a+x to com.sophos.bootstrap.helper & the correct path to the Sophos Installer.

But my deployment tool logs (it runs as terminal as sudo) now show "TERM environment variable not set".. it might take too long.

It would be so much easier if it could have been deployed from a .pkg , would that be something that would come in future?
