Authenticator app QR code

Hello. Have read about good detection rates on your engine and thought to check with Endpoint a possible ransomware/ransomware situation.

First time user, yet to install the trial version, after the email and password are accepted, and that email code is entered it asks to scan a QR code on screen in an ''authenticator app"'.

Scanned the QR in a app, it leads nowhere.....so I am stuck...and have been for about 7 days now, waiting for approval to even register in this community forum.

Have searched similar topics here, the articles are 3 to 8 years old. Surely someone tried to install this and had the same problem.

So, how does one get to install your trial Endpoint ?? Thanks

    Hi  ,

    Have just tried making a new account in the off chance I bonked it last time and received email "We couldn’t set up your Sophos Central trial
    The email address [                     ]  is already used for a Sophos account. "

    So, I tried the 2nd option, logging in with what I have, email, password, email confirmation code with that separate PIN, all accepted but now it again  asks me "Verity your device Scan the QRcode below using the authenticator app installed on your device"

    I need to install this on a PC, not a phone.

    Am back to square one.
