Hi
Im currently using MacOS 11.5.2 with Endpoint 10.1.4.
Experiencing consistent CPU usage as much as 70% on the com.sophos.endpoint.networkextension process even though i have no apps open.
In Sophos Central i have created a specific group for this laptop which does no real-time scanning whatsoever. Still this process is still going nuts and cooking the laptop
Any ideas? Im getting to the point where i need to uninstall..
John
Hi There,
Thank you for reaching us, we're currently checking on it and get back to you.
I have a user with the same issues, running MacOS 11.5.2 and Endpoint 10.1.4 with a consistent CPU usage of +90%.I've completely removed and reinstalled. Issue came back this morning.
Here is an SDU of this machine: 274cd1b9-fde4-b4ea-dbfa-82fedfba3329_2021-09-13-16-11-16.zip
Hi Adam,
thank you for reaching us, Can you help us raise a support case and share with us the case ID?
Hi GlennSen
Any update? I notice that you have asked the user below to log a call.
Hey John,The team is currently investigating the said issue which is being observed for the said extensions. You can raise as well a case ID for the said issue and provide logs on your system.
This looks like an exact match for the issue I reported - https://community.sophos.com/intercept-x-endpoint/f/discussions/129815/sophos-10-1-4-big-sur-com-sophos-endpoint-networkextension-high-cpu/479080#479080 except it only started happening to me when I upgraded to Big Sur (MacOS 11.6). It seems this issue has gotten about as much traction with support as mine has.
