Server Endpoint Protection - how to get customer information

Hi all,

a colleague "found" a Sophos Setup for Server (Endpoint Protection) and installed it. Obviously it was not the right customer setup download.

but Installation for testing works fine.

We now get licenses.I will upgrade to a licensed version. But: I didn't see the server in any central portal customer environment.

Any chance to look in the test-client installation to see to which central account that installation belongs?

I would be better to remove the 'unknown' install and replace it with your own proper installer. If the data in the machine doesn't match your accounts - then it isn't from your account and we won't…

If you click on the Endpoint Self help when you open Sophos Endpoint, under update you will find the username that is used for updating endpoint.

In "Self Help menue" you mean?

There is a crypted value for "used credentials". No idea who this is.

I looked to a known system. There is also only a crypted value existing.

Any chance to translate this?

You can actually simply reregister the endpoint with your new Installation.

--registeronly

But you need to disable tamper protection first, if you have access to it (maybe its disabled)?

Download your new installer, run it with --registeronly

I was able to register the device in its final central environment. but Sophos System Protection Service does not start any more. Also an uninstall fails.
