It would be on or off for the site so the user experience is consistent across all the groups.

I voted against this so long ago that I'd forgotten about it. I was trying to read the more-recent comments on a thread you started and that @#$%^& 'Related Content' pop-in kept obscuring what I was trying to read. Twice I looked to see if it had anything to offer that I felt was relevant - it doesn't.
Bad idea, but it does give the interface that cute and bouncy feel. ;-)
