Windows servers trashed

So far I have had one 2003 server and a 2008 R2 server trashed.  The 2003 server TCP/IP stack was hosed.  My VCenter server had to be rebuilt from scratch.  Lucky I was able to at least login to the server and copy off the databases.  HP helped reattach them, but now I have two other 2008 R2 servers that do the guest backups that will not work either.  I tried to reinstall the software but it still does not work.  We ran the script SOPHOS provided to put back the infeted files, but still no joy.  I will call IBM on Monday to see if it can be fixed or if it is a complete rebuild.

Has anyone else had servers trashed by this?

  • Hello beanboomba, I am sorry you are having issues with your servers, have you been able to raise an incident ticket with us? As far as we are aware we should not have impacted the TCP/IP stacks with this issue, however if you have any logs or anything that suggests this please contact support and raise a case with Sophos Support. We have support staff in over the weekend and are actively working on resolving peoples issues.

    Regards
