Keyboard encryption encrypting other apps than browsers

Good day,

I have been testing the beta version of Sophos and I have noticed a drawback, sometimes, when I start my computer, other apps get the keyboard encryption (steam, windows itself, online games, libreoffice, etc) and I need to log off and log back in in order to get it fixed.

Regards.

  • I'm having the same problem as well, very annoying. If I try to save a PDF or something from the browser when I try to type a name for the file I get encrypted jibberish coming out, which means I need to then open the folder and rename each file after I download it.

Is it possible to turn off just the encrypted keystroke thing, just until they fix this? Its really frustrating.

I am on the the non-beta premium version

  • You can disable it, but you will receive the occasional warning that some of your security features have been disabled. I leave it on because the warning are annoying and I just rename the files like you mentioned. If you do want to turn it off, the setting is buried in a weird spot. You can toggle it on/off by going to:

Sophos Dashboard -> Protection Tab -> Web Tab -> Safe Online Banking -> Advanced Settings -> Protect against Keyloggers
