Keyboard encryption encrypting other apps than browsers

You can try using some encryption software to fix the issue. Here is the list of some of the softwares

• Zemana AntiLogger

• KeyScrambler
• SpyShelter Anti-Keylogger

So you are telling me to disable the keyboard encryption option in the sophos antivirus and use one of those softwares instead?

I am experiencing the same issue. It seems to occur pretty randomly. Another way to fix it is to disable real-time protection and then turn it back on. This was not an issue prior to the machine learning update. 

I'm having the same problem as well, very annoying. If I try to save a PDF or something from the browser when I try to type a name for the file I get encrypted jibberish coming out, which means I need to then open the folder and rename each file after I download it.

Is it possible to turn off just the encrypted keystroke thing, just until they fix this? Its really frustrating.

You can disable it, but you will receive the occasional warning that some of your security features have been disabled. I leave it on because the warning are annoying and I just rename the files like you mentioned. If you do want to turn it off, the setting is buried in a weird spot. You can toggle it on/off by going to:

Sophos Dashboard -> Protection Tab -> Web Tab -> Safe Online Banking -> Advanced Settings -> Protect against Keyloggers
