Recover Virus Messages from Quarantine

Hi,

We have puremessage placing emails containing virus ridden attachments into quarantine.  How would you go about retrieving an email from there should it be a false possitive?  If you forward it on puremessage puts it straight back into quarantine.

Thanks for the help.

David

  • PureMessage provides the below options to locate (and then deliver) messages from quarantine:

    search_quar.jpg

so for a false positive you’’’’d look for files which were quarantined due to the ‘‘‘‘viral’’’’ reason (other reasons are ‘‘‘‘spam’’’’, ‘‘‘‘content’’’’ etc.) and just sort ‘‘‘‘By infections “a to z”’’’’.

This is the same as delivering any viral mail from quarantine of course, luckily most false positives affect applications /OSs so are not a factor for PME which mainly scans human-created content, documents, archives containing documents etc.
