Squid logs analyser required?

After saving squid logs to a server from my WS1000s I would like to read them.  Can anyone suggest a reliable squid log reader/analyser..  Free is always best!

Be handy is Sophos provided you with one when you purchased the devices. :smileywink:

Cheers,

  • There is also Splunk.  You can use it for free, but the Enterprise edition is most likely what you want.  You can compare them at http://www.splunk.com/view/free-vs-enterprise/SP-CAAAE8W

You can also run Splunk as a syslog server and configure the appliance to trasnfer sophos_log entries to it.  For details about our syslog feature, log on to the Administration Web Interface and then go to Help > Configuration > System > Alerts & Monitoring > Configuring Syslog page.

Splunk does not have a special plug-in to read our sophos_log, but it does a good job parsing the sophos_log.  Feel free to try it out.
