Squid logs analyser required?

After saving squid logs to a server from my WS1000s I would like to read them. Can anyone suggest a reliable squid log reader/analyser.. Free is always best!

Be handy is Sophos provided you with one when you purchased the devices. :smileywink:

We don't have a WS1000, but if the logs you're trying to analyze are squid logs, then I suggest awstats:

I've only ever run it on Linux and don't know if it's possible to run on windows, the FAQ seems to imply it can though.

There is also Splunk. You can use it for free, but the Enterprise edition is most likely what you want. You can compare them at http://www.splunk.com/view/free-vs-enterprise/SP-CAAAE8W
You can also run Splunk as a syslog server and configure the appliance to trasnfer sophos_log entries to it. For details about our syslog feature, log on to the Administration Web Interface and then go to Help > Configuration > System > Alerts & Monitoring > Configuring Syslog page.
Splunk does not have a special plug-in to read our sophos_log, but it does a good job parsing the sophos_log. Feel free to try it out.
