Authorise Qurantine Items

 Hi Friends,

I am new to Sophos and learning. I have installed Sophos UTM 9.2 software applicance and running version 9.201-23 with home user license.

As Sophos UTM featues End Point Protection, I have installed it on my laptop. Everything is up and working and very happy with SOPHOS.

Now, trouble i am having is, End Point Protection Qurantined one of my exe suspecting it as virus which i need to authorise but it doesn't give me option to authorise. Only option it shows under Perform Action is Clean there is no tab for me to authorise.

I have done research and found out that i need to be member of SophosAdministrator to gain full access but I am already member of SophosAdministrator and local admin.

I would really appreciate, if you guys can help me to fix this.

Thanks..

  • Hello satish,

while UTM has its dedicated board this is, if I understand you correctly, a question about Endpoint (which should better be posted on the Enduser board here)

suspecting [an exe] as virus which i need to authorise

If it's (considered) a virus it can't be authorized (while you can elect to turn off scanning or exempt a specific item from scanning it'd be contradictory for an AV product to permit you to whitelist something it deems malicious). What's the name of the threat (e.g. Mal/Generic-S, Troj/xxx-y, W32/abc, ..)? As you've probably a (paid) license you should send a sample. If it's clean (i.e. a false positive) Sophos will update the detection accordingly.
