WS1000 and windows update

I hope someone has seen this before. I have created an additional policy for our out of state offices. I am currently trying to run windows updates but I get stopped with an error 0x8024402F. The policy instituded for the branch office is more restrictive. I have open Active X Controllers. I have also added update.microsoft.com, microsoft.com, download.windowsupdate.com to the local sites.

Am I missing any additioanl download types? or sites? As far as I can tell on the logs, I should have all the sites needed.

Thanks for your help,

Ilene

  • Hi Ilene, did you give update.microsoft.com and download.microsoft.com a Low or a Trusted in the local site list? If it's Low, call Support and have them check on Byte-Range-Requests. I reckon that's what causing the problems. William
