Best Practices for Restarting / Updating a Sophos UTM 9 Environment

Question

Hello everybody, 
 
 I have several sophos devices (ASG Software, SG125, SG210,SG115), which administers red sophos and access points. 
 I would like to update these UTMs and I would like to have some information on the procedure to follow. HA is being implemented. 
 
 Is there a risk that the configuration will be lost? Of course I will backup the configuration beforehand. 
 Can we go back in time if something goes wrong? 
 Does the UTM update push the update of other devices (Sophos RED and AP)? 
 What are the precautions?
