RED IP Address

hi all

first

thank you for accepting me to this group

second

i have UTM 9 at the main location, and branches have red10

the IP address at the remote offices shows the additional address that configured to this office at the UTM

example

*******

setting for the UTM server

interface 90.90.90.2

setting for remote office one

interface IP 192.168.2.1

additional address 80.80.80.2

operation mode for RED is standard/unified

when i check IP at the (find my IP) it shows 80.80.80.2, is this normal? i thought it must show the UTM IP 90.90.90.2 since the traffic should be redirected to the UTM server

in more words, i want the remote IP for each remote office to be the 90.90.90.1 by redirecting all the traffic

thanks in advance

  • Hi Saif,

Check the traceroute from the system behind RED. Execute,

    tracert -d google.com

Check the hops in the output, does the UTM IP address comes into picture?

    Thanks

actually i did tracert but sorry didnt mention that, the tracert shows the internet gateway at the provider side

looks like the RED is jumping over the UTM directly to the provider gateway while the UTM WAN should show up as a hop

in our example the tracert result looks like this

    192.168.2.1

    90.90.90.1

    ..

    ..

    ..

    www.google.com

as you can see the 90.90.90.1 is not a hop, in addition to all that when i search for my ip online it shows the 80.80.80.2

    thanks
