DHCP Server not assigning IP Adress to guest WLAN

Hello,

we installed a Unifi Cloud Key gen 2 with 4 Access Points to provide WLAN.

In UTM:
We created 2 new interfaces (see attached files).
For these 2 we activated the DHCP Service of the UTM.

On the cloud key:
We created 3 Networks:*

The internal Network uses the DHCP Service from the Windows Server.
The other 2 networks ("Gast" and "Kunden") we created a DHCP Server in the UTM.

For some reason we don't get any IP leases in the "Gast" and "Kunden" Network.
The Network that is getting DHCP from the Windows Server has internet access.
Only the ones where the Sophos UTM provides DHCP don't get an IP, but they get a connection to the network. (lease table is empty).

Does anyone have an Idea, what the problem could be?

  • Hello Jan,

how should the "Cloud Key" system know, that it has to pass the DHCP-requests of its clients to another system?

Normally this is done by configuring a DHCP-Relay or some kind of "external DHCP" service. There must be some kind of configuration on the "Cloud key" for this.

But we would need some more info of that system to answer this. A network iagram would be helpful as well.

  • Hi,
are you sure you configured the AP's and the switch correctly for VLAN-usage?
    Looks OK from UTM perspective.

  • The switch-port going to "eth0" from the Sophos has to transport the Default_VLAN untagged and  VLAN2 + VLAN3 tagged. Did you check this? Is the "Cloud key" system configured accordingly?
