iView configuration for firewalls with dynamic external ip address

Hi,

Interesting question. You have to manually add devices in iView, if the IP association is changed I wonder how did they come up on iView!

Can you post a screenshot of this.

thanks for your reply.  I don't have to add devices manuelly. If a firewall connects to iview, i have only to accept the request. As you can see in the screenshot, this happens on every new ip address.

You should not accept the automatically discovered device instead change the IP address association, go to 

• System
• Configuration
• Devices

Change the IP address to the new IP received on the device.

thanks for your reply. But i don't want to change the ip address every day (when the firewall get a new ip address from isp). Can iview the firewalls not identify in a different way, as based on the IP address?

Unfortunately, iView can just detect the devices through IP address.
