Sophos user Portal will not load on Lan

Hi,

When trying to access the sophos user portal on the Lan, the page displays some content but not the logon fields. The loading icon spins around but nothing happens.

Using Release 9.105-9

Can someone please assist? Thank you.

  • Hi, Eighty, and welcome to the User BB!

These kinds of problems are usually browser issues.  What browser are you using?  Have you tried clearing the local browser cache?

    Cheers - Bob

  • Hi Again Bob,

IE9, Chrome, IE10 and yes, started from scratch on one machine, cleared everything on the other.

The UTM hostname is MySophos.MyDomain.com.au and points to the external interface.
The internal A Record is MySophos which renders an FQDN of MySophos.MyDomain.local and points to the internal interface of the UTM.

I can access the Admin portal internally if I type https://MySophos:***x but not if I type https://MySophos.MyDomain.Local:***x.

If I type https://MySophos:***X (where ***X is the userportal port); thats where the page loads to just before seeing the Login fields (As pictured in the attachment). And again, if I try to access the user portal by fully qualifying the hostname and user portal port, I get nothing at all.
  • Google on site:Astaro.org DNS best practice

  • What am I looking at specifically?
  • I think you have a DNS issue, so I wanted you to see that post.  Now that I'm at a laptop, it's DNS Best Practice.

    Cheers - Bob
