Currently, I'm trying to add a time limit for users of our guest Wi-Fi, access is currently configured with a password and would like to limit guest access to 30 minutes or 1 hour per day but I'm only seeing this option for social media authenticated sessions, using an APX120. omegle Does anyone have a workaround for this? Please answer me if you have any ideas. Thanks.
Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.
Currently, this isn’t possible using Central Wireless, however, if the network where the APs connect to, includes a Firewall that can create schedule Firewall Rules you could try to limit the access on a Firewall rule base.
emmosophos thank you for this advice. Can you elaborate please on how a rule on the local XG/XGS can place a time limit on a wireless session when the WAP is in Sophos Central?
Hi, This video might be helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0GwtPLS0nk
I think I explained myself incorrectly, my Firewall Rule would be just active for a specific period of time, for example, 8:00am to 5:00pm and turn off after this time. But this wouldn't be for specific sessions of 1hr for example.
What kind of Firewall Rule can I set that affects Sophos Central connected WAP's?
What is an example of the rule you use?
